KARI JULIANNA

Born by the fjords of Bergen, Norway, Kari grew up with a deep love of nature and art.

Her grandfather, Peder Leithaug, was a painter by profession and much of her warmest memories came from watching him create impressionist images of the landscapes of Norway.

Painting has been a means of expression for Kari since she can remember. She is self taught and her work combines realism with a hint of whimsy. Her most recent series of larger works are inspired by photos she took while living in Ålesund, Norway.

Kari and her husband Alden live in Connecticut where they have a Scandinavian furniture restoration business, Bella Modern.
